Get your link

Publishing the line gives you the real product surface:

https://chatline.ai/a/your-slug

This is the URL you send instead of typing the same first answer again.

When the line is published:

  • the public page becomes available
  • visitors can chat without creating an account
  • the greeting, setup, and lead capture behavior become live

When the line is unpublished:

  • the public page stops accepting new inbound
  • existing data stays in your dashboard
  • you can edit the line safely before putting it live again

The line is strongest where questions already happen:

  • bio links
  • profile links
  • press pages
  • campaign pages
  • QR codes
  • email signatures
  • DM replies
  • WhatsApp and direct outreach

This is why the link matters more than a normal landing page. It is not just a page to visit. It is a place to start the first conversation.

Before you send the link widely, check:

  • the line clearly states what it is for
  • the source material is current
  • the greeting sounds like the represented surface
  • the line knows what to refuse or defer
  • lead capture is configured the way you want
  • the preview feels coherent on mobile

Do not publish just because the screen is available.

Publish when you are ready to send the line in a real interaction.

The key question is:

if someone asked me the first serious question right now, would I feel good sending this URL?

If yes, publish it.

You can pre-fill the visitor’s first message with the ?m= parameter.

Example:

https://chatline.ai/a/your-slug?m=I%20want%20to%20book%20a%20campaign

This is useful when:

  • a campaign already implies the question
  • a QR code is tied to one use case
  • a button should open the line with a strong first prompt

After the link is live:

  1. someone opens it
  2. they chat first
  3. the line explains and routes
  4. the serious cases become human follow-up with context

That is the entire product loop in one URL.
